Bosphorus Samba Ride Thin |

| The Samba Ride is basically a blend of the New Orleans style lathing, but with the Latin series middle unlathed section on the top surface. Basically you get a New Orleans cymbal, but with a drier bell area, for more pronounced bell sticking. The unlathed area goes beyond the bell, for about 50% of the cymbal area, so that in turn dries out the normal sticking a little more than the NO series as well as shorten the overall decay. Since this is the "thin" version, you also have a good deal of crashability in the ride as well, making it somewhat versatile for all things jazz and samba. You could also stretch this a bit to blues/pop/light rock. |
