| Designed by award winning drummer Ignacio Berroa, this series adds a new flavor to our palate of sounds. Ignacio numerous contributions to the American Music Scene have earned him a place along a very selective group of artists known to have set new musical trends in the 20th Century. Jazz legend Dizzy Gillepsie best defined Ignacio as "...the only Latin drummer in the world, in the history of American Music that knows both worlds; his native Afro-Cuban as well as Jazz...". As the name of his line of Versa Cymbals implies, this series is designed to be as versatile as "Iggy" himself. | |
| 20" Ride: | A ride cymbal that is as versatile as it is beautiful. The cymbal itself is a combination of an unlathed playing area and a lathed and polished outer edge. Unlike the Antique Series the lathing areas are separate and distinct. The bell is in the unlathed portion of the cymbal and provides a nice dry and definitive ping that is warm but not overpowering. The ride boasts clear ping with controlled wash. Mr. Berroa designed this cymbal to be played in a myriad of playing situations that include Rock, Jazz, Afro-Cuban, and World and the cymbal delivers BIG in all areas. A fantastic all-purpose ride. |
